Firm Profile
Hengeler Mueller originated in 1990 from a merger of two law firms: Hengeler Kurth Wirtz in Düsseldorf and Mueller Weitzel Weisner in Frankfurt. Our Düsseldorf office dates back over a century, while the Frankfurt firm was founded in 1947. Immediately after the merger we opened in Berlin, later followed by offices in Brussels, London and Munich.
Our clients operate globally. We support them at every stage with integrated international teams, carefully assembled to deliver what each specific mandate requires (Integrated Team Concept). We make full use of a distinctive international network, drawn from different legal systems, markets and cultures. But we never franchise or cross-sell, nor submit to any exclusivity.
Our ties with leading firms throughout the world are exemplary, widely recognised as setting the standard in international legal services.
Our M&A Practice
Advising our clients on national, multi-national and cross-border M&A transactions forms an essential part of our core competence. We focus on both public and private deals. Our track record in terms of the number and volume of transactions is outstanding. In recent years, we have been involved in more than 650 transactions of all sizes with a total deal value of more than EUR 300 bn.
We have a reputation for working in highly specialized teams and providing exceptional transaction support. We are renowned for our commitment and willingness to go the extra mile, and for our ability to find solutions that simply work.
