ABOUT DORIS BARROSO DORIS BARROSO VICÉNS, CPA, CVA, CFF, CGMA, CIRA Managing Partner, RSM Puerto Rico Doris Barroso Vicéns has more than 30 years of public accounting experience, specialized in valuation analysis, financial forensics, global management accountancy, and insolvency and restructuring. Currently, she is the Managing Partner at RSM Puerto Rico, the fourth largest accounting and consulting firm in Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory. Throughout her career, Doris has testified in depositions and trials as an expert witness in 40+ cases for industries such as construction, retail, medical equipment, health care, and auto dealerships, among others. One case that stands out is a Chapter 11 bankruptcy case for a retail company. During the proceedings, Doris worked the reconciliation of claims with debtor’s accounting records and prepared a liquidation analysis. She also reviewed the debtor’s monthly operating reports and prepared the projected statements of cashflow, including a payment plan, which included classification of the claims by class, payment schedule, and interest payments. She then served as an expert witness at adversary hearings to testify regarding a controversy related to a default clause in the debtor’s bank loans. She also served as expert witness at the client’s hearings, to testify on the debtor’s payment plan viability and projections. After years went by, the company sought out other business opportunities and reinvented. As result of her involvement in litigation support and insurance claims/loss determination settlements, Doris has authored several articles for the National Litigation Consultant’s Review.
